Geraldine Botte, a professor chemical and biomolecular engineering Ohio University has developed a technology to generate hydrogen from urine. Two compounds amonia and urea can be the source of hydrogen gas separated out through electrolysis and further used in fuel cells to generate electricity. If the idea works out it is not only human urine but animal urine can also be a source of energy.
