Which Computer Game Is suitable To You?

The prolonged blame associating computer games to obesity is now challenged.  Contrary views have emerged after a two year study at the University of Auckland by Dr. Ralph Maddison and his team, that kids involved in active video  gaming (games responding to players' body movements) showed  positive improvements in BMI.  The study was extended to two years with 323 obese children aged between 10 to 14, under the auspices of Sony Corporation, Europe.  The result infers to substitute sedentary video games which are traditional with more active games.  It can become alternative to outdoors during winter and inconvenient environments quitting worries over obesity.

Male Birth Another Side Effect of Nuclear Proliferation

Genetic effects of nuclear radiation has now been more precisely defined.  According to a study by scientists more male births are reported from  places affected by nuclear radiation or near to it.  They worked on statistics on birth ratio during the period  before the Test Ban treaty and Chernobyl accident and the areas near nuclear facilities to arrive at this conclusion. The work has been published in Springer's Journal, Environmental Science and Pollution Research.

Is Kitchen Knife Better Option To Medical Insurance?

A 53 year Chinese migrant worker named Wu Yuanbi had to slit open her stomach with a kitchen knife to escape from the pain related to Budd-Chiari Syndrome she was suffering. Due to the health condition her stomach used to remain filled with fluids which are usually removed during treatment.  Her financial condition and  inability to subscribe to medical insurance compelled her to take this drastic step, it was reported in a Chinese Daily.  Now the authorities have taken over and she is getting free treatment.

Prolonged Use of Mobile May Affect Male Fertility- A Latest Study Report.

Results of a study led by researcher Dr. Rany Shamloul suggest that electromagnetic waves emitted out of cellphones may affect sperm quality in men leading to infertility. The researchers specialised in sexual medicine at Queens University in Kingston in the study report state that important male reproductive harmone called luterinizing secreted in the brain is reduced by electromagentic waves emitted out of cell phones.

What Is Ideal Diet During Pregnancy?

A latest study report has added to the confusion prevailing as to what should be the ideal diet during pregnancy and is it justified to eat for two that is for mother and baby in womb during pregnancy?  The latest reports say that during the first six months of pregnancy no extra food is required for mother and to maintain energy intake of 1940 calories only.  The 'eating for two'concept may lead to obesity in women at later stage, says the report.  An ideal BMI of  18.5 to 25 has been recommended.  But there are different situations and circumstances when eating for two is recommended. Taliban on Twitter?

The most distressing news which may hurt everyone today may be of that Taliban joined social media network Twitter. Their feed is reported as @alemarahweb.  They tweet in Pashto language and estimated to be follwed by more than 4000 people with a steady increase. What lies they can propogate and how much damage can be done only time will tell.  I do not think they joined it with any good intention.to join mainstream with a change of mind. It must be some cruel plot as anti social  never change their mind,  they have their own agenda.   The development made me to tweet "Kick them off before they invade you! Outcasts are always outcasts. Why antisocial need social media?"

It has been reported in Daily Mail that world bee population has come down owing to mobile signals associated with modern life. These signals irritate,confuse and cause sudden death to these lovely creatures much beneficial to man kind. But there are other sets of insects, the mosquitoes taking life out of men, sucking blood and spreading diseases. If scientists could find out ways to convert these signals against mosquitoes it would really be useful. This could be done by making close study how the mobile signals adversely affect the world's most loving insects, the honey bees and direct it against the deadly mosquitoes.
